What is Graves Disease?
Imagine... ADHD, Bipolar, Menopause and Dementia all rolled into one!  The immune system attacks the thyroid which triggers the thyroid to produce an increase of hormones resulting in Hyperthyroidism.  The thyroid is basically the battery for your body.  It regulates or plays a part in every function of the body; such as, heart rate, body temperature and metabolism.

All too often Graves' Disease sneaks up very quietly.  The hyperthyroid symptoms slowly become worse over time as the thyroid wreaks havoc on the mind, body and soul.  Isolation soon becomes our constant companion.  After the thyroid is treated and the levels are within optimal range, a person then takes the journey of healing.  It often takes and a lot of patience to allow the body heal and adjust back normal levels - how long depends on your personal journey with Graves' Disease.
